Social Justice Council
Unitarian-Universalism is deeply rooted in social justice as a direct expression of our faith. It is our responsibility to recognize and promote the inherent worth of each person, our mutual interdependency, and the need to create a world in which each person has the opportunity to flourish. Thus, the mission of the SUUS Social Justice Committee is to coordinate social action efforts in the church, empowering the congregation to choose social justice issues for study and action, and integrating such activities fully into the overall life of the congregation.
The Social Justice Council meets monthly. For more information please contact one of its members: Valerie Thornton (20thornton@gmail.com) Don Ordway (swrdfsh57@aol.com) Jo Green (greeneyes1021@sbclocal.net)
